Traveling by ferry in Bermuda is an excellent way to get around. The new fast ferries are clean, spacious, air-conditioned and efficient. One of the highlights of traveling by ferry is the opportunity to see Bermuda's beauty from a different vantage point.
In 2000 the Ministry of Tourism & Transport began the ferry modernisation project. The project was divided into three phases all of which are now completed. Commuters and visitors alike have favourably received all three phases of the ferry service upgrades and improvements. The construction, quality and fuel consumption of the catamarans have exceeded the departments expectations.
