This is an exceptional sailing boat with many thousands of ocean miles under her keel. She has sailed to and from these islands many times. She was built in 1972 and so is half a century old this year. She has seen many moons but was built like a tank with over 3/4" of solid fibreglass at her hull/deck joint which only increases as you go down towards the keel. She is a rare breed and the only boat of her model in Bermuda.

Her rigging is solid and her chainplates were replaced two years ago. There is nothing wrong with the hull or rigging. Some of her through hulls were installed with gate valves which need replacing. She has a Yanmar 2gm20f which needs love but will run, it does need a new ignition and raw water pump. The prop fell off years ago and I have not bothered to find a replacement as she handles very easily under sail. The head is like new.

She comes equipped with a mainsail with two reefing points, a large Genoa of at least 150%, a staysail, and a symmetrical spinnaker with pole. As well as a slightly smaller Genoa, and a set of storm sails. She can manage 6 knots without much trouble under working canvas and hits 8 under spinnaker, which flies well on a reach with the main and staysail. Also comes with life jackets, vhf radio, Danforth pattern anchor, chain & rode, fenders, deck awning, small MSW DC-AC inverter, spare lines, trickle charger solar panel, various spares, etc. Full equipment list and description of electrical circuits.

She is well ventilated with a large forehatch which opens fore or aft, two windscoops, and an opening porthole in the companionway washboards, which allows a great deal of airflow from bow to stern or vice versa.

I do not care much for the almighty dollar so I am willing to let her go cheap to the right person. The right person is... And this is crucial... SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO SAIL. This is not a boat for someone who wants to let it sit on a mooring for 10 years until it sinks, or to just putt around the harbour a couple times a year. This is a boat with history, and it deserves a certain level of respect.

If you are looking for a solid keelboat to mess about in, and are willing to spend the time and energy to keep her in sailing condition (which isn't really that much) then contact me and we can arrange a daysail.
